The band came together in 2009. The first incarnation of AOTR toured throughout the Southwest Regional market through 2010. That version released their self-titled 5-song EP in December of 2014 through ALLYOUCANEAT Music records. The video release for the single “Blood in the Sand” was released in January 2015, and the video release for the single “Fields of Maiden” was released in August 2015.

The singles “Fields of Maiden” and “Burning Daylight” were played on over 50 celestial radio stations in regular rotation in their respective top 5 or top 10 for over 5 months during 2015.

They toured the Southwest Regional area in support of their EP and provided direct regional tour support for Diamond Head, Metal Church, Armored Saint, Odin, and DC4. They have played Rockers Against Cancer, F*ck Cancer Kimberly Crane benefit, Musicians for Vets Homeless Veterans Benefit (2016/2017), and co-headlined “Thunder on the Lot” in 2016 and 2017.

“ATTACK OF THE RISING EP is Packed with Original Songs that clearly have the Influences of Iron Maiden Judas Priest Scorpions Queensryche that come to mind but retaining their own unique sound that will satisfy any Old School Metal Fan. What I enjoy the most about the Debut Release from ATTACK OF THE RISING is, it is not a One Song Wonder or Songs that are Predictable and Sound the Same. It is a Tasty Compilation of Brilliance that is Keeping New Metal Alive and Well.”

AOTR will be releasing their new full length album “Game Changer”  produced by Bill Metoyer in late 2020.

This latest lineup of Attack of the Rising combines over 30 years of extensive experience and influences, creating their own brand of original heavy metal.
